The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Binghamton will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Horseheads at 7:00 PM. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
Binghamton's and Corning-Painted Post's contest last Friday was close at halftime, but Binghamton turned on the heat in the second half with 34 points. Binghamton took their game against Corning-Painted Post by a conclusive 50-21 score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Binghamton had established a 44-21 advantage.
Meanwhile, Horseheads put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They steamrollered Johnson City 60-18. That looming 42-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Horseheads yet.
Their wins bumped Binghamton to 4-3 and Horseheads to 5-3. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we'll see if they're able to heat things up even more while facing each other.
