Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Addelyn Widmer, who had eight kills and five blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now had two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Margrethe Lim, who had 11 assists and two aces.
Meanwhile, Sacramento Country Day lost 3-0 to John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills on Friday.
While Sacramento Country Day ultimately came up short, they really made John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-9, 25-19.
Buckingham Charter's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Sacramento Country Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Buckingham Charter couldn't quite get it done against Sacramento Country Day in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
