After having lost a blowout in their previous game against DeWitt, Holt was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Waverly Warriors 42-7. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Warriors are ranked 361st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Holt got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ladon Hatcher out in front who rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also caught one TD. Hatcher is becoming a predictor of the Rams' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't). Manollo Williams was another key player, gaining 162 total yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Holt was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 280 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
