2A District 2 recap October 22, 2013
Millwood extended the longest winning streak in 2A District 2 this week by beating Crooked Oak, 60-33. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Northeast took down Justice Wilson SeeWorth Academy 59-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Colton Lindsey provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Christian Heritage beat Luther. He completed 20 passes for 149 yards and also ran for 126 yards. Lindsey's favorite target this week was A.j. Ferguson, who caught 5 passes for 62 yards.
Will McKinnis and Luke Frankfurt gave Oklahoma Christian a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. McKinnis threw for 75 yards and 1 touchdown, while Frankfurt ran for 184 yards. Thomas Qualls also contributed to the rushing game with 82 yards on the ground.
Luther's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Seth Stivers has thrown for 1,060 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Maurice Wright has 31 catches for 593 yards.
The Saints are in second place, while the Crusaders are in sixth place.
Oklahoma Christian led the league in scoring this week after putting up 60 points on Dibble. Frankfurt ran for 184 yards and caught 1 pass for 11 yards during the win.
