Softball Recap: Huron Wins Going Away Against Port Clinton

Huron won the last time they faced Port Clinton and things went their way on Monday too. The Tigers put the hurt on the Redskins with a sharp 11-1 win. Considering the Tigers have won seven contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Huron and bumps their season record up to 9-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Port Clinton, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huron will face off against Bellevue at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Redmen have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.23 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Port Clinton, they will venture away from home to challenge Willard at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
