The La Quinta Blackhawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. The contest between La Quinta and Desert Christian Academy wasn't particularly close, with La Quinta falling 57-42. La Quinta was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Desert Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2016.
Augustine Youssef was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with six rebounds and three steals for Desert Christian Academy. The match was Youssef's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Reynolds, who scored 16 points.
La Quinta has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Desert Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.
La Quinta will head out on the road to face off against Shadow Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Christian Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Desert Hot Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
