This season hasn't been kind to The Chaparral Wolverines, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They were beaten by Pine Creek 52-2 on Friday. Chaparral has struggled against Pine Creek recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Pine Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cameron Cooper out in front who threw for 245 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Jonathan Coar was another key contributor, rushing for 118 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
Chaparral's defeat was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 11-2 ThunderRidge and 8-2 Mountain Vista (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 66.3% over those games). As for Pine Creek, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.
Chaparral does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pine Creek also has no future games currently scheduled.
