The Odessa Tigers will head out on the road to take on St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Odessa is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
Odessa suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 89-48 loss at the hands of Wellpinit. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Odessa in their matchups with Wellpinit: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 67-21 victory over Dayton on the road. The victory was just what St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse needed coming off of a 85-57 defeat in their prior match.
St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew DeFord, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Brewer, who scored 14 points.
Odessa's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.
Everything went Odessa's way against St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse in their previous matchup two weeks ago as Odessa made off with a 63-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Odessa since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
