Uintah lost against Richfield back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Saturday. The Uintah Utes fell just short of the Richfield Wildcats by a score of  50-47. The  contest was a  22-22 toss-up at halftime, but the Utes couldn't quite close it out.
 Despite the loss, Uintah still got an impressive performance from   Kenadie Maughan, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and nine  rebounds. The  game was  Maughan's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aunika Gehring, who  had five points.
 Even though they lost, Uintah  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 13  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive rebounds in ten consecutive  matches  dating back to last season.
 Richfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Abbee Albrecht led the charge by  dropping  a double-double on 19 points and 12  rebounds. Albrecht is  on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as she's  now  pulled down nine or more in the last three games she's  played dating back to last season.  Jordyn Bagley was another key player,  going 5 for 11 en route to 13 points plus six  steals.
 Uintah's loss was  their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Richfield, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-2.
 Uintah will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Union at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Richfield also won't see the court for a while: their next  matchup is against South Sevier at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
