Baldwin County is 8-1 against Robertsdale since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Baldwin County Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Robertsdale Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Baldwin County and 19 for Robertsdale dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Baldwin County lost to St. Paul's Episcopal on the road by a decisive 44-25 margin.
Meanwhile, Robertsdale fell victim to Mary G. Montgomery's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Vikings 56-0. While losing is never fun, Robertsdale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Mary G. Montgomery is ranked tenth).
Baldwin County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Robertsdale, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9.
Baldwin County took their victory against Robertsdale when the teams last played back in October of 2022 by a conclusive 51-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for Baldwin County since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
