Gholson is 1-9 against Jonesboro since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Gholson will head out on the road to take on the Jonesboro Eagles at 7:00 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Gholson lost to Aquilla at home by a decisive 55-41 margin.
Despite the defeat, Gholson had strong showings from Aaron Salinas, who scored 14 points, and Hudson Thomas, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thomas has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Jonesboro didn't have too much trouble with Mount Calm on the road on Tuesday as they won 57-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Jonesboro.
Gholson has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Jonesboro, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Things could have been worse for Gholson, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-28 loss to Jonesboro in their previous meeting on January 2nd. Can Gholson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
