The Kerman Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Washington Union Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington Union took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Kerman, who comes in off a win.
Kerman put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They put the hurt on Selma with a sharp 47-21 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kerman.
Kerman found their leader in underclassman Adrian Torres, who rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown. Dalton Stefano did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 85 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Washington Union lost to Central Valley Christian at home by a decisive 42-24 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, Washington Union can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 347th, while Central Valley Christian is ranked 95th).
Despite the loss, Washington Union got a solid performance out of Jason Torres, who threw for 418 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Brown, who picked up 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Kerman's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Washington Union, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Kerman, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 14-0 loss to Washington Union in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Kerman have more luck at home instead of on the road?
