The Sun Prairie East Cardinals will head out on the road to challenge the Green Bay Preble Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sun Prairie East's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Green Bay Preble's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Sun Prairie East can't be too worried about heading out to take on Green Bay Preble: they just beat Elkhorn at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Cardinals walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Elks on Tuesday.

Allison Giese spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cassie Coffey, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Emma Norton was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.
Sun Prairie East hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elkhorn struck out 14 times.
Meanwhile, Green Bay Preble strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let Green Bay Southwest get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Sam Foytik was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cara Schauer, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Sun Prairie East is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Green Bay Preble, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-0.
