Meanwhile, Mendon strolled past Howardsville Christian with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 69-51.
Mendon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryder Gorham, who scored 25 points along with five assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gorham has scored all season. Owen Gorham was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Bellevue pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points per game. As for Mendon, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Bellevue came out on top in a nail-biter against Mendon in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, sneaking past 54-52. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Mendon's Quincy Blair, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds.
