The Dysart Demons will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Cactus Cobras at 7:00 p.m. Dysart knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 21 matchups -- so hopefully the Cobras like a good challenge.
In what's become a running theme this season, Dysart gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 95-34 win over Vista Grande at home. While fans of Dysart might be used to big wins, the 61-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Dysart's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nate Morales, who scored 22 points along with six assists and two steals. Morales hasn't dropped below 15 points for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Nigel Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Cactus' good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. The match between them and Thunderbird wasn't particularly close, with Cactus falling 66-51.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Bradey Henige, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds. Henige is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Tyler Hutton was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
Dysart pushed their record up to 22-3 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.9 points. As for Cactus, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-4.
Tuesday's game is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Dysart have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 48.1% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Cactus struggles in that department as they've made 50.9% of their threes this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Dysart and the Cobras were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but the Demons came up empty-handed after a 72-71 defeat.
