After a string of three wins, the Jackson Generals's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 43-7 loss at the hands of Goleman.
Goleman found their leader in underclassman Akayla Edwards, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Edwards is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Jasmin Brown was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Goleman, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
Jackson will head out on the road to face off against Miami Beach at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Goleman, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Hialeah Gardens at 3:30 p.m. on January 17th.
