After having lost a blowout in their previous game against WF West, Capital was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Shelton Highclimbers 44-22. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Highclimbers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Capital to victory, but perhaps none more so than Atticus Love, who picked up 100 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Another back making a difference was Peter Lee, who rushed for 74 yards and one score.

Capital now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Shelton, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Capital will face off against Peninsula at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Cougars' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Shelton, they will host WF West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
