Armada had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Mercy Marlins on Saturday as they made off with a 9-1 victory. Considering the Tigers have won 22 matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
The win was the tenth in a row for Armada, bringing their record up to 37-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Mercy, they moved to 17-15-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
Armada will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Marlins: the pair will be back at it again later today.
