Screven County came tearing into Thursday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.9 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Give Screven County's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting McIntosh County Academy from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Anna Kate Withrow led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Screven County's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for McIntosh County Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.
