West Washington fell just short of Rock Creek Academy by a score of 48-46. West Washington just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
West Washington lost on Monday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jayla Batt, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. The game was Batt's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lilly Thompson, who scored ten points along with five assists and four steals.
West Washington bumped their record down to 10-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Rock Creek Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Washington will take on Crawford County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rock Creek Academy, they will play host again and welcome Brownstown Central, where tip off is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
