The Troy Trojans won the last time they faced the Valley Heights Mustangs, and things went their way on Saturday too. Troy walked away with a 56-44 win over Valley Heights.
Troy was led to victory by Henry Geiger and Gannon Bowe. Geiger dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Bowe scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Bowe hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Hartman, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Troy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Valley Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
Troy on the road again on Tuesday and play against Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy is ranked 198th, while Troy is ranked 174th). As for Valley Heights, Valley Heights and Rock Creek will face off on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Rock Creek is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.
