 Vanguard College Prep got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Xavier Lopez out in front who  went 8 for 16  en route to 16  points and four  steals. Lopez has been hot, having  posted two or more  steals the last five times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nicolas Murithii, who  posted 16 points.
Meanwhile, Humphreys Able Charter hadn't done well against Stockton Christian recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. Humphreys Able Charter walked away with  a   60-53  victory over Stockton Christian. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Legacy.
 Humphreys Able Charter found their leader in sophomore  Khamseng Milavong, who  scored 23  points. Milavong continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's  played.  Michael Gonzales Jr. was another key player,  putting up 13 points.
 Humphreys Able Charter has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record  this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Vanguard College Prep, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.
