On Tuesday, Brashear was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-41 to Grundy County/Newtown-Harris.
Grundy County/Newtown-Harris got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lexa Stonger out in front who scored 12 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Stonger has scored at least 25% of Grundy County/Newtown-Harris' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Milazzo, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds.
Brashear's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Grundy County/Newtown-Harris, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
