Football Recap: Fall River Wins Going Away Against Trinity + How To Watch

In Friday's Canine Competition, Fall River came out on top. They took their matchup against the Trinity Wolves on Friday 28-20. That eight point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Fall River got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Abraham Estes out in front who rushed for 107 yards and one touchdown. The Bulldogs are 2-1 when Estes posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Vargas, who rushed for 88 yards on only seven carries.

Fall River didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Trinity to a completion percentage of just 20%. The team can thank James Taylor for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Fall River; they were averaging 59.3%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three games they've fallen to only 0%.

Fall River didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Raul Iniguez.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carver Dresselhaus, who rushed for 90 yards and one TD, and also threw for 70 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Dresselhaus showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 54 yards.

With the victory, Fall River broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3. As for Trinity, their record now sits at 2-4.

Fall River has already played their next contest, an 18-6 win against Etna on the 10th. As for Trinity, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 54-7 loss against Redding Christian on the 10th.
