The DME Academy Blue DME Academy's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They snuck past Bridge to Independence with a 44-38 victory. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points DME Academy Blue has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Bridge to Independence saw an underclassman step up: Jaydan Jeantinord dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds. Jeantinord is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jvarius Gibson, who scored nine points along with three steals.
DME Academy Blue's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Bridge to Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DME Academy Blue and Deltona will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Deltona is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games. Bridge to Independence's road trip will continue as they head out to face Spruce Creek at 5:00 p.m. on January 15th.
