Haverford School scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Saturday. They had just enough and edged Father Judge out 75-73. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Even though Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech has not done well against Dock Mennonite recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech walked away with a 51-38 victory over Dock Mennonite. Given Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Dock Mennonite is ranked 228th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Zachary Campbell was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Saleem Hudson, who scored 12 points.
The win got Haverford School back to even at 5-5. As for Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.
