The Liberty Lancers will head out to  challenge the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans  at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Liberty will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
 On Friday, Liberty made easy work of Pueblo East  and carried off  a  17-1 victory. Considering the Lancers have won three games by more than eight  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Isabella Schrobilgen looked comfortable as she  pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits.
 At the plate,  Selena Morales and  Alex Graham did most of the damage at the plate:  Morales  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs, and three  RBI, while  Graham  went 4-for-4 with three  runs, three  RBI, and a  triple. Morales also  hit two  doubles, marking her first of the season.  Charlotte Riffle was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with a  triple, a  stolen base, and two  RBI.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Liberty  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 17  hits. That's the most  hits they've posted since  back in September of 2023.
 Meanwhile, Fountain-Fort Carson entered their  matchup against Canon City  on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Fountain-Fort Carson lost  24-5 to Canon City.
 Liberty's record is now 3-4. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
 Liberty might still be hurting after the  14-1 defeat they got from Fountain-Fort Carson  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023. Can Liberty avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
