Adding to the longest winning streak in 3A Region IV District 27 this week, Navarro beat Houston 54-12. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Fredericksburg moved up to 327 from 407 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Billies climbed the ranks as a result of besting Llano 16-13.
Desmond Smith was the best wideout in the league this week as Navarro beat the Hurricanes. Smith racked up 5 receptions for 69 yards.
Boerne's David Snelling and Hunter Lees have formed a dream team this season, leading 3A Region IV District 27 in both passing and receiving yards. Snelling has thrown for 1,017 yards this season, while Lees has 27 catches for 511 yards. Les Goad's team's Luke Jarosewski leads the league in rushing yards with 583.
Fredericksburg and the Yellowjackets played the closest game in the league this week, with Fredericksburg eventually emerging with a 16-13 victory. Paco Martinez ran for 96 yards during the win.
