NorthPoint Christian Academy is 8-0-1 against Lee Park Prep since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The NightHawks will host the Knights at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in NorthPoint Christian Academy's favor as the squad sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Lee Park Prep has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times NorthPoint Christian Academy and Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The NightHawks put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 13-2 victory on Friday. The NightHawks haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Tyler Wagner made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Andrew Badolato and Reagan Price did most of the damage at the plate: Badolato scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Price scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Price has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Enriquez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Lee Park Prep got the win against Gospel Light Christian on Friday by a conclusive 13-2.
Like NorthPoint Christian Academy, Lee Park Prep also got a great game from a two-way player: Aiden Arant. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Arant was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Lee Park Prep let James Steele and Isaiah Carpenter run wild. Steele scored two runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4, while Carpenter scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
Lee Park Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Lee Park Prep's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. NorthPoint Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lee Park Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
NorthPoint Christian Academy skirted past Lee Park Prep 1-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the NightHawks repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
