The Rochester Rockets will face off against the Washington Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Rochester will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
On Tuesday, Rochester made easy work of MacArthur and carried off an 18-3 win. Considering the Rockets have won ten contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Eli Carlson and Breck Calvert made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Carlson tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Calvert pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Carlson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Carlson went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Calvert got on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs Calvert has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Rochester let Jorey Myren and Ajay Runkel run wild. Myren went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Runkel went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Reece Gade, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Rochester always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .703. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as MacArthur only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Washington had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 3-1.
Gavin Lawrence made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Lawrence was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
Lawrence wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Eli Roedell, who went 3-for-4 with one double.
Washington pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rochester, their victory bumped their record up to 17-7.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Rochester has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .445. However, it's not like Washington struggles in that department as they've averaged .431. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
