The Northglenn Norsemen's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They fell just short of Westminster by a score of 31-28. Northglenn was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Westminster apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Despite the loss, Northglenn still got an impressive performance from Josiah'ez Stevenson, who rushed for 182 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Trevor Dean was another key contributor, rushing for 53 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Mason Kiewiet was on fire for Westminster: he rushed for 254 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 290 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per attempt. Kiewiet was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. Westminster also got help from Hunter Emgarten who showed off his sure hands for 152 receiving yards.
Northglenn's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.3 points per game. As for Westminster, their victory bumped their record up to 5-5.
Northglenn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Westminster also has no future games currently scheduled.
