They blew past Payson 41-7 on the road. The result was nothing new for Valley Christian, who have now won four contests by 34 points or more so far this season.
Gunnar Link continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 256 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per attempt. Link is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played. Will Bastian was in the mix as well, providing Valley Christian with two touchdowns.
Valley Christian's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.6 points per game. As for Payson, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5.
