Chester Charter Scholars Academy took a 45-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Church Farm. Chester Charter Scholars Academy lost against Church Farm in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 72-59 score last time.
Despite the loss, Chester Charter Scholars Academy saw an underclassman step up: Chris Cook scored nine points. Cook also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emohj Barrett, who scored eight points.
Chester Charter Scholars Academy's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3. As for Church Farm, their win bumped their record up to 1-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chester Charter Scholars Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Lincoln Leadership Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln Leadership Academy will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Church Farm will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Faith Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
