It was a good run, but The Briggsdale Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They received a tough blow as they fell 29-14 to Walsh. The match was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but Briggsdale couldn't answer the 15 points Walsh scored afterwards.
Leyton Jones was his usual excellent self, rushing for 206 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. Jones was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards.
Briggsdale's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Walsh, their win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2.
Briggsdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Walsh will head out on the road to face off against Idalia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Idalia is ranked 14th, while Walsh is ranked 19th).
