Baseball Recap: Schoolhouse Prep Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

While Schoolhouse Prep's victory against Goleman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack came out on top in a nail-biter against the Goleman Gators on Friday, sneaking past 8-7. The win was nothing new for the Wolfpack as they're now sitting on three straight.

Angel Delgado tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He also put up three walks, which were his first of the season.

At the plate, Jose Uzcategui and Alejandro Molina did most of the damage at the plate: Uzcategui scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Molina scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Uzcategui also brought in three RBI, marking his first of the season. Francisco Pichardo was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Schoolhouse Prep now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Goleman, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Coming up, Schoolhouse Prep will head out to face off against Ferguson at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Goleman, they will head out on the road to challenge Downtown Doral at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Downtown Doral has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.46 runs per game on average), something Goleman will no doubt try to take advantage of.
