The Saugus Sachems will square off against the Gloucester Fishermen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Saugus had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Stoneham on Saturday. The Sachems were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans.
Saugus was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-4, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Gloucester sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Salem Academy Charter on Thursday.
Gloucester was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 23-25, 21-25, 25-15, 15-12.
Saugus' win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10. As for Gloucester, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-14.
Everything went Saugus' way against Gloucester in their previous matchup back in September, as Saugus made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Sachems have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fishermen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
