Basketball Game Preview: La Grange Leopards vs. Navasota Rattlers

La Grange is 1-9 against Navasota since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The La Grange Leopards will host the Navasota Rattlers at 5:45 p.m. One thing working in La Grange's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for La Grange against Caldwell as the squad secured a 75-41 victory. The Leopards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Kylie Trlicek and Campbell Cooper Sg 2027 were among the main playmakers for La Grange as the former went 14 of 23 on her way to 35 points and seven steals and the latter almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine steals. Trlicek's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Holmes, who posted nine points.

La Grange smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Navasota unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 36-28 to Smithville.

La Grange is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.9 points per game. As for Navasota, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 18-10.
