LONGMONT, Colo. -
Loveland (Colo.) snapped the six-game winning streak of
Longmont (Colo.), with a 42-21 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, the Indians were up 20-7 at the half.
Loveland grew its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. The Indians scored four times in the third, including once on a
Jacob Weinmaster touchdown run.
The loss comes after Longmont defeated Niwot 50-12 last week.
Longmont (6-2) goes up against Greeley Central in a 4A Northern game matchup next week, while Loveland (7-1) locks horns with Mountain View also in a 4A Northern game.
