Coral Glades is 0-4 against American Heritage since February of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Jaguars will venture away from home to challenge the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Coral Glades will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Coral Glades got a great performance from Haleigh Thomas as she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Thomas has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Briana Escobar, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Marques, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, American Heritage sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Spanish River on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.
Isabella Benton made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. Benton was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Adrianna Layne was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
American Heritage's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Coral Glades, their record is now 9-6.
Coral Glades came up short against American Heritage in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 3-0. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
