The Legacy Lightning posted their closest victory since November 27, 2023 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Broomfield out 53-50. The victory was familiar territory for Legacy who now have three in a row.
It was another big night for Ari Harpring, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Joey Delescinskis, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Broomfield still got an impressive performance from Joey Cook, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Cook hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Effland, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Legacy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Broomfield, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.
Legacy will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Boulder at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Broomfield, Broomfield and Rocky Mountain will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Rocky Mountain has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 315 points over their last five matchups.
