Karter Gonzalez and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Karter Gonzalez was instrumental in extending Hesston's winning streak to six on Friday. Gonzalez rushed for 232 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Hesston pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Gonzalez and Hesston will welcome Riley County on Friday.

Nash Wray Delivers Electric Performance Vs Belle Plaine
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Nash Wray stepped things up a notch to give Haven the 'W'. Nobody could stop Wray as he threw for 197 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Wray and Haven will square off against Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time Wray took on the Roadrunners, he threw for 121 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 57 yards on only seven carries. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Braxton Creed Goes Supernova in Halstead Win
Halstead found a leader in Braxton Creed as the squad took down Ellsworth on Friday. Creed was dynamite, rushing for 67 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, while also throwing for 137 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Halstead's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. Creed and Halstead will head out on the road to face off against Southeast of Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Taye Wilson Turns in Another Game with at Least Two Rushing Touchdowns
Taye Wilson continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards.
For the season, Wilson has run in 13 touchdowns while averaging 126.7 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had five rushing touchdowns.

Larned was led to victory by Jimmy Gardner, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Gardner rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 75 yards.
With the win, Larned broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. Gardner and Larned will welcome Hoisington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
