Jayden Ortiz Delivers Best Performance of Season
Wheeler was led to victory by Jayden Ortiz, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Ortiz rushed for 188 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.1 rushing touchdowns per game. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2023.
Ortiz is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Whiting on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Ortiz saw the Oilers), he rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.

Whiting is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. White and Whiting will square off against Wheeler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
