The Dunellen Destroyers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 56-37 bruising from Piscataway Vo-Tech. Dunellen lost against Piscataway Vo-Tech in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 69-43 score last time.
Despite the loss, Dunellen saw an underclassman step up: Jamael Davis scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Hutchins, who scored nine points.
Dunellen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Piscataway Vo-Tech, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Dunellen will be home for the holidays to greet Roselle Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Piscataway Vo-Tech won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Windsor-Plainsboro North on December 16th.
