Basketball Recap: Meadville Falls Despite Big Games from Carter Thompson and Donivan Schreckhise

Meadville was the 45-43 winner over Cameron when they last played one another back in December of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Meadville Eagles took a hard 59-45 fall against the Cameron Dragons on Friday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meadville's loss came despite strong showings from Donivan Schreckhise and Carter Thompson. Schreckhise went 7 for 14 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds, while Thompson posted 13 points.

Meadville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Cameron, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Meadville will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Paul Lutheran at 12:00 p.m. on December 30th. Cameron and Maysville will round out the year against one another at at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
