After soaring high against Maywood/Hayes Center last Friday, Icarus fell to the ground on Friday. South Platte took a 61-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eustis-Farnam.
South Platte's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Austen Jaeger, who rushed for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns. Junior Josiah Spencer was in the mix, too, providing they with 2 touchdowns.
The loss dropped South Platte back to even at 1-1. The win bumped Eustis-Farnam's record up to 2-0.
South Platte are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Hay Springs next week at 1:30 PM. As for Eustis-Farnam, they will face off against Elba.
