On Friday, the Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] Battlers were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  51-45 to the Howard Tigers. The Battlers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

 Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven]'s loss  came despite strong showings from  PEYTON STEVENS and  EMMA SCHLACHTER.  STEVENS  posted 18  points and six  boards, while  SCHLACHTER  almost  dropped  a double-double with 12 points and nine  rebounds. STEVENS' morning made it five games in a row in which  she has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  ALYSSA KAUP, who  earned four  points and five  assists.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Howard to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Tana Hoyer, who  went 8-for-11  en route to 22 points.  Reese Rudebusch was another key player,  putting up six  points and three  steals.
Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven]'s defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Howard, their record now sits at 7-14.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] will head out to  take on Herreid/Selby  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Howard,  a feisty cat fight will be fought as  the Tigers  take on  the Cougars at 6:15  p.m.  on Thursday.
