Our Lady of Mercy Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the Lower Cape May Tigers get on the board and left with  a   16-0  win. The  victory continues a trend for the Villagers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.
 Isabel Quinlan made a splash no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched. Quinlan was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Riley Welker was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.  Devin Powell was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Our Lady of Mercy Academy will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Holy Spirit  at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. The  contest will  give Our Lady of Mercy Academy their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Lower Cape May, they will welcome Williamstown  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
