The Lipan Indians will square off against the Cisco Loboes at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lipan will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Saturday, then bounced right back against Gorman on Saturday. Everything went Lipan's way against Gorman as Lipan made off with a 17-4 win. Considering the Indians have won four games by more than ten runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Jared Srader made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Srader was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chris Collins, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-5. Jackson Posey was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Lipan lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Cisco entered their tilt with Brady on Monday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Bulldogs.
Pecos Duke was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Williams, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Cisco's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Lipan, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
