Battle have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will take on Central at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Battle are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
After a big victory against Lebanon three weeks ago, Battle came back down to earth. Battle took a hard 24-43 fall against Patrick Henry.
Meanwhile, Central found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 21-50 punch to the gut against Abingdon last Friday. Central were down by 14-43 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Everything came up roses for Battle against Central the last time the two teams met as the squad secured a 42-0 win. Will Battle repeat their success, or does Central have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
