Idabel extended their postseason success on Friday against Kansas. They strolled past the Comets with points to spare, taking the game 42-28. That's two games straight that Idabel has won by exactly 14 points.
It was another big night for Matrail Lopez, who rushed for 172 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 39 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Waylon Phillips, who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Millwood waltzed into Friday's contest with ten straight wins but they left with 11. They put the hurt on Purcell with a sharp 38-14 win. Considering Millwood has won seven contests by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Idabel has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 11-0 record. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 10-2 Kingston and 8-3 Warner (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 55.7% over those games). As for Millwood, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
